International Student Admissions

Admission Guidelines

  • You may apply for Fall, Spring or Summer semesters.

Deadlines to submit applications for international students who are outside the U.S.:

Semester Time Period Application Deadlines:

  • Fall (Mid-August to Mid-December) - June 15
  • Spring (Mid-January to Mid-May) - November 15
  • Summer (End of May to Mid-August) - April 1

*Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Select the first semester and year of your anticipated enrollment. Submitted applications are valid for one year following the semester you apply to ACC. If, after one year, you are not accepted for admission, are not issued a visa or do not attend, you must submit a new application and resubmit all required documents.

Applicant will need to provide proof of English Language proficiency by one of the following:

  • Complete the International Student Application Form. Your responses must be legible and in English.
  • Provide proof of high school (secondary) graduation.
  • Submit official English translations of academic records including diploma and transcripts from your secondary and/or post-secondary institutions.
  • Unless the school or ministry of education issues the document in English, both the original language and certified English translation of each document are required.
  • Request the school or ministry to issue official transcripts directly to ACC. If this is not possible, send certified copies of the documents along with the application.
  • A Minimum score of 57 on an Internet-based program., called TOEFL. Official test scores must be sent directly to ACC. TOEFL is not required for applicants who have graduated from an U.S. high school .
  • Official U.S. high school transcripts and/or GED results must be sent directly from the school/agency to ACC as directed below:

  • Minimum score of 75 is required on the Official Michigan Test if taken at Spring International Language Center.
  • Successful completion of an ACC approved English Language school program (Spring International Language Center, ELS, University of Denver Intensive English Center).
  • STEP Eiken test pre-1st level.
  • Minimum of 5.5 on the IELTS exam which you can view on their website at http://www.ielts.org/ .

4. Applicant will need proof of financial resources by one of the following:

  • Statement of Financial Guarantee and a current bank statement demonstrating a minimum amount of US $24,600 available to support your studies. Affidavits of Support forms must be signed by student and sponsor.  Financial statements must be original (from the bank or financial institution).
  • Applicants with dependents will require additional living expenses. The guarantee must indicate your relationship to your sponsor and include your sponsor’s signature.
  • Letter of sponsorship from an Embassy. Applicants who are sponsored by a government agency or private company must submit verifying documents.

Scholarships and financial aid for students attending on a student visa status are not available. Tuition for international students with a student visa are based on Colorado non-resident rates.

5. Special Students

Students attending other colleges or universities may co-enroll for credit at Arapahoe Community College by providing the following documentation::

  • International Application for Admission.
  • Letter of permission from the Foreign Student Advisor at your host institution.
  • Proof of English Proficiency (#3 on the admission requirements) may be required U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents or Other Visa Types.
