GEOCACHING
Let’s Go Geocaching!

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout
the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS (global positioning
satellite) devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers,
called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online.
Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong
sense of community and support for the environment. This is a wonderful
sport / hobby for families. You may bring one child between the
ages of 8-16.
Join facilitator Steve Sande for a morning of geocaching fun.
All you need in order to join in is a handheld GPS receiver or
iPhone
3G, the ability to walk on uneven ground, and a sense of adventure.
If you have an iPhone 3G, please purchase and install the Geocaching
application from the Apple store before coming to the class.

GOLF
Golf for Beginning and Intermediate Levels

Get lots of personal attention in these small classes. Learn golf
fundamentals (grip, stance, posture, alignment) and train yourself
to swing with graceful power, balance and accuracy. Understand
the basics of woods, irons, pitching, putting and chipping. Clubs
are provided if needed. Class includes instruction, playing time
on the Par 3 course. Wear loose clothing, tennis shoes or golf
shoes with soft spikes.
Tim Taylor has been in the golf industry for over 25 years as
a collegiate player, coach, and assistant pro. He has won 4 different
Long Drive Contests and coordinates junior golf programs and
coaches
boys and girls high school golf teams.

More Beginning Golf

Get lots of personal attention in these small classes Clubs are
provided if needed. First class meeting will be at ACC (in the
middle of the main grass field along Santa Fe). Practice basic
fundamentals including general club knowledge, what to consider
when purchasing clubs, the basics of metal, woods, irons, putters,
balls and other equipment. Learn proper grip. address alignment,
posture, and the basic swing. The next class will be at Broken
Tee golf course and will cover chipping, putting and full swing.
The final class will also be at Broken Tee Golf Course and will
introduce walking/playing the Par 3 course and understanding proper
etiquette and the basics of playing on a course (additional $5.00
fee for playing the Par 3 payable on that day).Wear loose clothing,
tennis shoes or golf shoes with soft spikes.

Nymphs and Knots! The Fun of Fly Fishing

the summer season begins. Fly Fishing is a great sport and it
can be learned easily if you know the challenges. Discuss equipment,
simple knots to learn, casting, how to rig your line for catching
fish, insect and trout behavior, and how to read the water and
spot fish. Learn how to fish nymphs, dry flies and streamers.
Use our equipment or bring your own. For beginners or if you

MOTORCYCLES
Motorcycle Training

These courses follow the Motorcycle Safety Foundation curriculum
and are taught by instructors from ABATE of Colorado. For all motorcycle
classes, helmets, full-fingered gloves, long-sleeved shirt, long
pants, eye protection, as well as sturdy, over the ankle shoes
are required for all riding sessions. Loaner helmets are available
for use in the class. Pre-registration and prepayment are required.
Courses meet on the many weekends at Arapahoe Community College.
Students who do not cancel within 48 business hours of the course
will not receive a tuition refund or date transfer.

BASIC RIDER COURSE
Is a 15 hour courses designed for the new rider. Begin with the most basic
information on motorcycle controls and operation and continue to include
modules on street strategies, obstacle avoidance and braking skills. Motorcycles
are provided. The Basic Rider Course is mentally and physically demanding.
Be prepared. Recent bicycle riding experience is assumed. The
Colorado Department of Motor Vehicles accepts successful completion of
this class for the skills and written tests for your Motorcycle Endorsement.
Proof of successful completion must be taken to the DMV to receive an
endorsement. A valid Colorado driver’s license or instructional
permit is required. Students under 18 years of age must have parent sign
a liability waiver prior to the class. The State of Colorado requires
individuals less than 18 years of age to hold a motorcycle instructional
permit for one year prior to obtaining a full endorsement.
EXPERIENCED RIDER COURSE
Is a 6 1/2 hour course, conducted on a Saturday from noon-6:30 p.m. and is
designed for the licensed rider with a year or more road experience. The
course is conducted on the participant’s own motorcycle. The Motorcycle
Safety Foundation curriculum concentrates on those skills found lacking in
the accident-involved rider. This is an accelerated course. Be prepared.
You will be tested at the end of the course and can obtain your completion
card for license endorsement. A valid motorcycle license is required for
enrollment. Participants must provide current registration and proof of insurance.
Your motorcycle must be in good running order, have a fresh and fully charged
battery, good tires, and good working brakes. Bikes will be checked as well
as a motorcycle endorsement and current insurance card. Without these items,
you may not attend the class.
