Game Design and Development

Do More with your love of game design!

Sitting around creating designs for video games sounds like a blast, right? Not to spoil the fun, but it also might lead to a career in three different industries. The new Game Design and Development program at Arapahoe Community College combines three existing programs into one and offers courses that could lead to careers as a computer programmer, multimedia artist and animator or graphic designer.

You will learn to develop 2D and 3D digital modeling, digital animation and programming skills using an industry standard gaming engine. Course electives allow you to gain experience with digital sound editing, 2D game development and additional 3D modeling.

You will also be able to get to the core concepts in computer science through the main courses required for the degree such as Java programming and other up-to-date tools and engines.
