This one-year certificate program consists of classroom and online training, and is designed for individuals seeking a career in or currently working in the food preparation industry. The program focuses on all aspects of food preparation, menu planning and dining room management necessary for success in a culinary occupation. Students will acquire the knowledge necessary to work in food production, pastry/baking, guest services, food safety and sanitation, and management.
The Culinary Arts program is taught by faculty with professional culinary backgrounds in a hands-on kitchen/restaurant environment located in the Englewood High School Annex Building in Englewood, Colorado, and is limited to 10 students per year. Available spaces are filled on a first-come, first –served basis (only complete applications are considered – see below).
Written permission from the academic dean is required to register. Students must enroll in all 10 Culinary credit hours in the Fall semester, and in all 7 Culinary credits in the Spring semester. For further information you may contact Mr. James Shettleworth in Advising at 303.797.5651.

Admission Requirements:
- Fully completed ACC Application for Admission
- Earned high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- An Accuplacer placement test is required for all students without a college or university degree.

Graduation:
All courses for the ACC Culinary Arts Certificate must be completed with a “C” or better in order to meet graduation requirements.

NOTE: Culinary Arts classes run on a longer schedule than most ACC classes. See the most current Schedule of Classes for additional details.
College Opportunity Fund:
The College Opportunity Trust Fund (COF), created by the Colorado Legislature, provides a stipend to eligible undergraduate students. The stipend pays a portion of your total in-state tuition when you attend a Colorado public institution or a participating private institution.
Eligible undergraduate students must apply, be admitted and enroll at a participating institution. Both new and continuing students are eligible for the stipend.
