A Toast to a Poet Laureatepicture of Chris Ransick

Writers Studio and the ACC Library are proud to co-host a celebration in honor of ACC Faculty member Chris Ransick and his work as Denver Poet Laureate.

Mayor Hickenlooper has said of Chris Ransick: [He] was selected as Denver's Second Poet Laureate for his impressive literary achievements, work as an educator, and dedication to the community. We've been awed by his enthusiasm and passion for connecting with a broad range of Denver audiences and organizations to inspire through poetry. Mayor Hickenlooper has asked Chris to serve two more years as Poet Laureate.

Festivities include an introduction by ACC Vice President of Instruction, Dr. Diane Hegeman, a reading by Chris, and an interview on his work as poet laureate with Dr. Josie Mills. Refreshments included!

Thursday, April 10 at 4:00 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the ACC Library.
