The Career and Transfer Center will present Career Explorer Series #1 on Feb. 9, 16 and 23 in Room M2070 (Advising Center) at the Littleton Campus.  Career Explorer Series #1 will run from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. all three days.  Please register by Feb. 6, and plan to attend all three sessions.

Attend Career Explorer Series #1 and get help with planning for your future.  Take the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory, along with other career assessments.  Explore options, research career information and create an action plan.

Register in the Career and Transfer Center.  Cost of materials is $50 for students and $70 for alumni.

Arapahoe Community College will serve as a location for the Tax Help Colorado program this February, as announced by The Piton Foundation and the Colorado Community College System.

ACC will facilitate Tax Help Colorado at its Littleton Campus (5900 S. Santa Fe Drive) on Feb. 10, 17 and 24 in Room A1540 (Annex Building) from 12:00 – 7:00 p.m. on each of those Fridays.

The Piton FoundationTax Help Colorado, which is a partnership between The Piton Foundation and the Colorado Community College System, provides Colorado families with the opportunity to have their tax return prepared and e-filed by IRS-certified college students.  These services are free to Colorado taxpayers with a household income of less than $49,000.

Furthermore, for Colorado families who make less than $49,000 and have children at home, the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credit can reduce the amount of income tax paid and may even mean a much bigger tax refund – as much as $5,000 more.  Additionally, there are tax credits that can help to pay for college.  For more information about the Tax Help Colorado program, please call 2-1-1.

The ACC Writers Studio presents "Sleuths, Bombers & Mystics: In the World of Genre Fiction" on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in Room 4750 at the Littleton Campus.

Join writers Carol Berg, Janet Fogg and Mark Stevens for a panel on writing and publishing genre fiction, which will culminate with a short reading of their works.  These writers have been on the Denver bestseller list and the Military Book Club bestseller list, and won awards such as the HOLT Medallion Award of Merit, Colorado Book Awards, the Prism Award, the Geffen Award and the Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Adult Literature.

All come to ACC with great accolades from the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers.  Suggested donation is $5 for the Writers Studio Scholarship Fund.

Interior Design and Architecture Show at ACCThe Colorado Gallery of the Arts at Arapahoe Community College (Littleton Campus) will present an Interior Design and Architecture Student Exhibition from Jan. 30 – Mar. 2.  The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Gallery hours on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are 12:00 - 5:00 p.m., and Tuesdays from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.  The Colorado Gallery of the Arts, which is closed on weekends, is located on the first floor of the ACC Annex building.

The festivities will also include a reception on Friday evening, Feb. 17, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
