Paying for College
While ACC has one of the lowest tuition rates among Colorado’s public higher education institutions, we understand that some of our students need to seek an even more affordable education. That’s why we offer many options to help our students pay for college.
Options to Help Pay for College
Financial Aid
Financial aid encompasses all the types of financial assistance you and your family can use to help pay for your education. This includes grants (which do not need to be paid back), student loans (which will need to be paid back once you complete your education), and work study (a way receive compensation for working on-campus).
Scholarships
Scholarships are a type of financial aid that can help you pay for college. They are awarded based on academic achievement, financial need, major, and/or other criteria. Unlike other financial aid, scholarships don’t have to be paid back as long as you are enrolled and meet your requirements.
Veteran Benefits
ACC supports veterans and military-connected students by creating opportunities to better themselves through meaningful benefits and resources.
College Opportunity Fund
The College Opportunity Fund (COF) is set annually by the Colorado General Assembly and is the state’s contribution to resident tuition rate. If you are seeking an even more affordable education, our financial aid advisors are great resources to find more ways to pay for college.
