Arapahoe Community College Holding Inaugural Science Café

(June 24, 2010 - Littleton, CO) – Science Café is an informal discussion series on scientific topics, led by an expert and introduced by a moderator. The informal atmosphere will allow discussions between students, community members and experts in science fields, supporting the expansion of scientific knowledge.

Through open discussion of difficult to understand topics or hard to address issues, Science Café will support the continued educational growth of all: our local community, students, staff, administrators and faculty. Science Café will be announced to high schools to encourage their interest in science and life-long learning. The Café will be held at Arapahoe Community College on the main campus, 2-3 times each semester. We will explore cutting edge science, technology and age-old philosophical issues.

Our inaugural discussion will be led by Dr. Nia Bauer on June 30 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in the Half Moon. Beverages and snacks are provided. Science Café' is free and open to the public.

There is limited space so please RSVP to Celia Norman at 303.797.5851 or celia.norman@arapahoe.edu.
