(August 24, 2010 - Littleton, Colorado) - Each year, Arapahoe Community College awards a select group of recent Colorado High School graduates with a President’s Scholarship. To be considered for this scholarship, worth up to $1800, students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. This year’s recipients represent 22 local high schools.

The following students received President’s Scholarships for the 2010-2011school year: Samantha Harvey, Arapahoe High School; Kimberly Beck, Bear Creek High School; Jessica Curry, Cañon City High School; Eric Cavender and Lauren Tripp, Castle View High School; Ryan Colley and Clinton Schultz, Chaparral High School; Chelsea Carl, Diana Dole and Kristen Warren, Chatfield Senior High School; John Houser and Paige Trygstad, Colorado’s Finest Alternative High School; Chelsea Porter, Jessica Sellke and Tyler Ochs, Dakota Ridge High School; Matthew Gardner, Kimberly Melgar, Shahriar Nekouei, Ashleigh Smith and Kensie Stanley, all from Douglas County High School.

Also receiving ACC President’s Scholarships were Kelli LaMantia, Ashlyn Yashiro and Caylee Siemens, Elizabeth High School; Jazmine Ruybal, Englewood High School; Gustavo Briseño, George Washington High School; Deidre Prout, Grandview High School; Gina Chapman and Levi Bartlett, Highlands Ranch High School; Cody Valencia, John F. Kennedy High School; Aspen Petersen and Jessica Ruby, Littleton High School; Jonathan Moore, Moffat High School; Matthew Conahan, Mountain Vista High School; Paul Rodriguez, Regis Jesuit High School; Kristan Corl, Rock Canyon High School; Caitlin Baxter, Rock Solid High School; Michaela Johnson, Thunder Ridge High School; and Kaylee Vaughn, Warren Tech.

Last year’s ACC President’s Scholarship recipients who completed at least 27 credit hours at ACC with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher were eligible for the President’s Success Scholarship. Recipients receive $1,800 for the 2010-2011 school year.
