ACC and the Findability Group Team Up

(April 13, 2011 – Littleton, Colorado) - Arapahoe Community College’s (ACC) Workforce Training Program and the Findability Group have joined forces to create a new search engine optimization certification. The Findability Professional Certification Program will focus on improving website visibility, pay per click advertising and social media.  To kick off the program, a pro bono workshop will be held at ACC’s Parker Campus for local non-profits from 5 to 6:30 p.m. May 25.

The free workshop is open to valid non-profit organizations and will show organizations how to leverage the best practices of search engine optimization strategies that are hands-on and actionable in the workplace. This workshop will help participants target their ideal clients and be “findable” when customers are seeking the products and services of the participant companies.

The free workshop is limited to 20 organizations and will be presented by well-known search engine marketing expert Heather Lutze, author of the best-selling book Findability Formula: The Easy, Non-Technical Approach to Search Engine Marketing. Lutze has worked for Yahoo! as a lead trainer and has run the Findability Group for the past 11 years located in Greenwood Village, Colo.

“We know that charities have limited budgets and often can’t afford top quality training for cutting-edge trends in marketing or hire consultants in these areas,” said Program Manager Erica Bullock-Jones of ACC’s Workforce Training program. “This gives ACC and the Findability Formula an opportunity to help these organizations during a challenging economic time.”

The first class for the Findability Professional Certification Program will begin this August. (This program will no longer be offered.) The certification program is perfect for anyone looking for a new career in the highly desirable search marketing field, marketing professionals looking to add cutting edge search marketing to their skill set or any business owner or entrepreneur who wants to learn the essentials to online visibility.

The six-month program will cover topics such as search engine optimization, link development, key word research tactics and tools, marketing, SEO content creation, keyword research techniques, pay-per-click (PPC) marketing, website architecture/design and social media marketing tactics used by major search marketing agencies including the Findability Group.
