ACC to benefit from Colorado Gives Day on Dec. 6

(November 30, 2011 - Littleton, Colorado) The Arapahoe Community College Foundation announces its support of the second annual Colorado Gives Day – an initiative to increase philanthropy in our state through online giving to Colorado charities on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Colorado Gives Day, which is once again presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, is a 24-hour period to “give where you live” by making online donations to hundreds of charities featured on Community First Foundation’s online giving resource, www.givingfirst.org.

As a profiled charity on www.givingfirst.org, the ACC Foundation will benefit from this initiative.

“We are thrilled to be a part of the second annual Colorado Gives Day,” said Courtney Loehfelm, Executive Director of the ACC Foundation.  “As a Colorado nonprofit, we recognize the value of bringing local communities together in support of the charitable sector.  With the help of the community and generous donors, we have the ability to change lives, and Colorado Gives Day is another avenue to make that happen.”

Community First Foundation’s mission to improve the quality of life by increasing community generosity and involvement was realized with over $8.7 million in donations from Coloradans during the first annual Colorado Gives Day in 2010.  A full 100% of donations to Colorado Gives Day will benefit Colorado charities.  Additional details about Colorado Gives Day can be accessed at www.cogivesday.org.
