(August 11, 2011 – Parker, Colorado) – Free grant funds are available from the State of Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade for the purpose of training employees. An Open House at Arapahoe Community College Parker Campus on August 31 will explain how to apply for these grant funds.
The goals of the program are to promote and encourage the expansion and well-being of existing Colorado companies and to attract new businesses to Colorado. Through job training programs, Colorado is investing in its labor force. The free grant program will increase transferable job skills that support a company's economic competitiveness while enhancing workers' resumes and long-term employment opportunities. The program is administered through the Colorado Community College System.
The Arapahoe Community College Grant Fund Open House will be from 4-6 p.m. at the ACC Parker Campus, 15653 Brookstone Dr. Business owners, training managers and human resources representatives are invited to attend. Completing the grant fund application process will be explained along with the types of training covered by the grants.
