(October 27, 2011 - Littleton, Colorado) The Arapahoe Community College Castle Rock Campus will host a community open house on Thursday evening, Nov. 10, from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the general public.
Classes at the Castle Rock Campus, which is located at 4700 Castleton Way, began on Monday, Oct. 10.
Festivities at the community open house will include refreshments, and ACC student ambassadors will be present to greet guests and provide tours of the campus throughout the evening. Representatives from Pre-Enrollment Services and Financial Aid, as well as many members of the ACC Faculty, will also be on hand to answer questions and help prospective students prepare for the spring semester.
Applications for the 2012 spring semester at ACC are currently being accepted and registration for courses begins on Monday, Nov. 21. The online schedule will be posted at www.arapahoe.edu in early November. Classes for the upcoming semester will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012.
The Castle Rock Campus offers courses in five categories: associate of arts and associate of science transfer programs, career and technical education, workforce training, concurrent enrollment for high school students, and community education. The Castle Rock Campus also offers guaranteed transfer courses.
Classes offered at the Castle Rock Campus this fall included: Astronomy I, Conversational Spanish I, Developmental Composition, English Composition I, Fundamentals of Mathematics, General Psychology I, Intermediate Algebra, Introduction to Early Childhood Education, Introduction to Philosophy, Introductory Algebra, Pre-Algebra, Public Speaking and World Regional Geography.
