(July 7, 2011 – Littleton, Colorado) - On Monday, August 8, the Arapahoe Community College Energy Technology Department will hold a free Green Energy Technology open house to provide information on the new energy economy. Topics covered will include: What is a Green Job? What Skills Do I Need? and How Can I Reinvent Myself for a Green Energy Career?
A representative from the college will also describe ACC's green energy certificate programs; Solar Photovoltaic Systems Technician, Solar Thermal Systems Technician and Residential Energy Analyst. Registration for Solar Photovoltaic Systems Technician and Solar Thermal Systems programs is available now. Classes begin August 22. The Energy Analyst program will be offered spring 2012.
The open house will be from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. on August 8 at the Arapahoe Community College Littleton Campus (in the Half Moon room), 5900 S. Santa Fe Dr. A workshop on "Is a Green Job for me?" will be from 6:00-6:45 p.m. and repeated from 7:15-8:00 p.m.; A Green Energy Career Showcase of classes and programs will be from 6:45-7:15 p.m. and repeated from 8:00-8:30 p.m.
