Littleton, Colo. (Jan. 6, 2012) - Register now for Energy Technology courses at Arapahoe Community College for the upcoming spring semester. The Energy Technology program at ACC is preparing future solar technicians for certificate exam. ACC offers an accelerated Solar Photovoltaic System Technician Certificate that can be completed in one semester.
• All courses are taught by industry professionals
• Many courses last just five weeks, combining classroom and online instruction
• Solar installation certificate programs include hands-on mock roof training
• Courses are conveniently offered on evenings and Saturdays
The Solar Photovoltaic Systems Technician Certificate will provide you with the knowledge and skills to work as an entry-level technician in the solar industry, as well as a foundation that can lead to other energy industry opportunities. Courses include basic energy and electrical concepts, system design, installation methods, safety and maintenance. Course competencies and objectives correlate with the current industry standard NABCEP Entry Level Exam.
The world depends on secure energy supplies more now than ever before. Trillions of dollars will be spent over the next few years to acquire these supplies and train a new generation of technicians to make this possible. ACC is leading the way in training these technicians with its Energy Technology program. The 2012 spring semester begins on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
