MLT program earns NAACLS accreditation

LITTLETON, Colo. (May 1, 2014) - The Arapahoe Community College Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program has earned accreditation - effective April 30, 2014 - from the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, as announced by the NAACLS on April 25.

“We are very happy to continue this partnership with NAACLS for the next seven years," said Jennifer Kroetch, MLT Department Chair at ACC.  "This certification provides our students with the eligibility they need to sit for the NAACLSAmerican Society of Clinical Pathology – Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) exam to become nationally certified as they enter the workforce."

ACC's MLT program, which is the only Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) in Medical Laboratory Technology offered in the state of Colorado, prepares qualified technicians to perform laboratory procedures encompassing low, medium and high-complexity testing.
