France Featured in Student and Faculty Exhibit at ACC
LITTLETON – An exhibit featuring artwork by Arapahoe Community College students and faculty who traveled in France this summer will be displayed this fall at the Colorado Gallery of the Arts. From Oct. 29 through Dec. 5, the Gallery will feature Impressions of Provence and Italy.
An opening reception on Friday, Nov. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. is open to the general public, and refreshments will be served. The show will feature paintings, drawings and photography by faculty and students from the Summer Study Program in France.
Students also usually travel to Italy but were not able to this summer. They plan to visit Italy next year. Christine Khorsand coordinates the program. ACC instructors coordinating the trips abroad are Marsha Wooley, painting instructor who led a group to France in 2008, Susan Elliott, drawing, and Trish Sangelo, photography, who led a trip to Italy in 2007.
Gallery hours for the exhibit are Monday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m., and Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Gallery will be open Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be closed Nov. 15 – 23. The exhibit is free and open to the public. The gallery is located on the first floor of the College's Annex building at 5900 S. Santa Fe Drive in Littleton.
