Two Littleton Women Win $50 Gas Cards

LITTLETON – Two women from Littleton won $50 gas cards from the Arapahoe Community College Foundation during the Western Welcome Week pancake breakfast at ACC on Aug. 10. Susan Dowd and Valerie Sewell each won a $50 gas card. Their names were drawn from about 250 people who registered for a drawing near the pancake breakfast at ACC.

“The purpose of the giveaway was to increase the visibility of the Foundation, and to make connections with the community,” said Jamie Crisp, College Foundation coordinator.

The 29th pancake breakfast in the ACC cafeteria is an annual tradition during Western Welcome Week, which ran from Aug. 7 to Aug. 17 in Littleton this year. Hundreds of community members attend the breakfast every year. Western Welcome Week celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2008.

The Arapahoe Community College Foundation is a charitable, non-profit corporation dedicated to raising friends and funds for Arapahoe Community College. The Foundation partners with donors to support and strengthen the College’s role in serving the educational needs of the community.
