You can Do More with the Writing Center. We offer free one-on-one tutoring sessions(in-person and online) to develop your writing skills. Our tutors work with any skill level, from any class or discipline, at any stage of the writing process. While we are not a proofreading or editing service, tutors are happy to work with you on proofreading strategies and understanding mechanics.  Click here to schedule an appointment for a face-to-face tutoring session.

  • Brainstorming, organizing, developing, and clarifying ideas
  • Structuring sentences, understanding grammar, and using proper punctuation
  • Researching topics and documenting sources
  • Formatting and word processing questions

Access online tutoring:

  1. Access online tutoring site.
  2. Enter log-in credentials:  username = student;  password = arapahoe
  3. Enter any login name, this is just what will appear on the screen; the email address is optional
  4. Click “Enter Dashboard”
  5. If this is your first time that you run a Browser Test and follow the instructions, including downloading the appropriate software
  6. Click on “Join Live Class”  A tutor may be immediately available or you may be placed in a short queue.  You can communicate with the tutor about your possible waiting time.
