Ranee Boyd Tomlin, Academic Advisor
ranee.tomlin@arapahoe.edu

Ranee Boyd Tomlin has lived in Littleton since 1986, when—as a mother and court reporter—she took her first class at ACC and discovered a passion for lifelong learning. She then received a B.S. in Administrative Sciences through an External Degree program at the University of Alabama and went on to complete a Master of Divinity degree at Iliff School of Theology, where she focused on pastoral care. Wanting to help other adults successfully achieve education and career goals while balancing lives beyond school and work, Ranee next earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education at the University of Denver. She delights in working with all college students, and her special interests are holistic adult learning, professional development, teacher education, and women’s issues. She has worked in career counseling, student recruitment, and human resources at other colleges and now feels fortunate to be involved with the important learning process of academic advising at “her” community college. In balancing work and life, she revels in family, friends, food, and film, enjoys writing and travel, and loves a good story.
