No appointment needed. We accept walk-ins between the listed hours of operation.

The Campus Police Department provides electronic and ink fingerprinting services to the public for a fee. Please present a valid photo ID and all necessary paperwork, fingerprint cards and documentation for fingerprinting.

Electronic and ink fingerprinting complies with Colorado Revised Statutes:

Fees

Cash, checks and charges are accepted. Credit card payments are accepted until 5:00 p.m. at the Cashier’s Office.

Real Estate and Mortgage Brokers
The Campus Police Department charges $22.50 for the fingerprinting and the submission process. In addition, the Campus Police Department collects a fee of $39.50 for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation background checks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are my fingerprints sent?

Real Estate and Mortgage Brokers
Electronic fingerprints are electronically submitted to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and are then submitted to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Fingerprint results are automatically sent to the Colorado Division of Real Estate.

Nursing Program
Nursing applicants will submit their fingerprint cards to American Databank along with their notarized documentation. Applicants must submit their Arapahoe Community College Background Release Forms to the Campus Police Department in order to process their American Databank background check. Please ensure all forms are notarized and complete, and include your student “S” number and your program on the front page of your Background Release Forms. The American Databank will send the background check results to the Arapahoe Community College Campus Police Department.

To Access Background Release Forms and American Databank Background Check:

  1. Visit the Arapahoe Community College web site at www.arapahoe.edu and click on “Departments/Programs”
  2. Scroll down to “Health Careers” and click on “Health Careers”

  3. Click on “Criminal Background Checks for Health Care Students”

  4. Click on “Criminal Background Check Information and Process” and order your background check from American Databank. Fax your confirmation sheet to American Databank.

  5. Go back to the Arapahoe web site and click on “Release Forms” and print out. Background Release Forms must be notarized and complete before submitting to the Campus Police Department.

For all other fingerprints, the applicant will submit their fingerprints to their appropriate employer.

What if my fingerprints were rejected?

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation will send you a rejection letter, stating your fingerprints didn’t meet the quality characteristics required for classification. You may choose to have your fingerprints retaken one time at no charge at the Arapahoe Community College Campus Police Department. You may also have your prints ink rolled for a minimal fee at your local police department. You will need to provide your own fingerprint card. Submit your original papers and your new fingerprint card to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and be sure to make copies of the original paperwork for your records.

For all other fingerprint applicants, if your fingerprints are rejected, the Campus Police Department will re-print one time at no charge.

Where can I find out about my licensing or fingerprint status?

Applicants can access their fingerprint and licensing status online at:

If you do not see a pending fingerprint status, please contact the Colorado Bureau of Investigation at 303.239.4208. If the Colorado Bureau of Investigation has not received your fingerprints, please contact the Arapahoe Community College Campus Police Department at 303.797.5800.

If you do not see a pending license status, please contact the Colorado Division of Real Estate at 303.894.2166 or .303.894.2185.

Please refer licensing and bond questions to the Colorado Division of Real Estate.

Nursing Program
Background check results are submitted to the Campus Police Department, and are then forwarded to your instructors.

How do I find the Campus Police Department?
We are in the Main Building on the Second Floor, next to the Information Central desk, Room M2600.
We are located 7 miles south of I-25 and Santa Fe, east of the Hudson Gardens Center.
We are located 3 miles north of C-470 and Santa Fe, just across the street from Mc Donald’s and Conoco.

Where can I park?
Visitor parking is located on the streets surrounding ACC on Sumner Street and West College Drive.
