Community policing is the philosophy of involving
the Campus Police Department and the campus community in partnership
to provide a safe and secure environment. Our officers work to organize
the resources of the community, the department and other agencies
to reduce crime and to meet the appropriate needs of the campus
community.
Mission Statement
The Campus Police Department, working in partnership with the campus
community through a continuing commitment to safety and education,
will strive to protect and enhance a secure learning-centered environment,
to provide quality service with an emphasis on integrity and professionalism
and to promote individual responsibility and cooperative commitment.
- Committing to the belief that there is intrinsic worth in all
people, whose protection and benefit is the basis for police service.
- Developing a partnership with the campus community.
- Maintaining public peace and order through fair and impartial enforcement of the law, and fostering an environment of cooperation, respect and trust toward the college community and towards its own members.

and professionalism in partnership with the community.

Motto: All Campus Police employees are committed to “doing

Goals
- Facilitate and support the College mission of student learning.
- Increasing individual's perception of personal safety.
- Decrease the amount of actual or perceived criminal activity.
- Plan for future concerns and issues, anticipate problems and
identify risks that may impact the College.
- Exercise good judgment, common sense, initiative, creativity
and above all, honesty.
- Deliver a type of public safety and policing consistent with
the campus community needs and the ideals of modern professional
police practices.
- Create a community awareness of crime problems and methods of
increasing campus police officer's ability to deal with actual
or potential criminal activity swiftly and effectively.
- Eliminate citizen apathy about crime reporting to the campus
police officers.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards in personal conduct.
- Provide exceptional customer service in every aspect of the
police department.
