Find out what You were awarded: Financial
Aid
Once your financial aid file is completed, with all the information
the Department of Education has required, submitted and reviewed,
an eligibility determination will be made.
If you are determined eligible for federal funds (Pell grant),
state funds (state grant), scholarships, or work study, you will
receive an award letter. At ACC we do not put potential loans
that you are eligible for on the award letter . If you wish
to pursue getting a guaranteed Government student loan, this is
an additional process once your file is complete. It is not necessary
to sign and return the award notification if you are accepting the
awards. We only want the award notification returned if you are
declining any portion of your award. However, you must understand
the following:
- Each award (unless otherwise stated) is based on full-time enrollment
(12 or more units). It will be adjusted based on your actual enrollment
after the add/drop period. The Department of Education requires
that you attend at least half time (6 credit hours) to be eligible
for most funds.
- You must meet and follow Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic
Progress.
- You must have a current address on file at all times with both
the Financial Aid Office and the Admissions
& Records Office. If eligible, refund checks for any federal
or state awards will be mailed to you after the add-drop deadline.
If your address is incorrect, this will significantly delay the
arrival of your money.
- You must not accept and/or cash your check if you have plans
to reduce your course load or know that you will not meet the
terms listed on the Satisfactory Academic Progress Standard.
- Future awards may be partially or fully canceled if you do
not comply with the rules, regulations, agreements, or deadlines.
- You may access your financial aid award online through
The Student Personal Information System . If you want a hard
copy of your financial aid award letter, you may print a copy
of this off the Student Locator terminal in the Information Central
Office, off the web, and the financial aid office will mail these
out also upon request.
If you are ineligible for either the Pell Grant or the state grant,
you will receive a No Award letter. You may be eligible to apply
for a Federal Student Loan. You can also apply for no-need work
study if you are a Colorado resident.
Phone 303-797-5661, or e-mail triva.wilson@arapahoe.edu,
