Introduces enameling techniques on metal for jewelry and small-scale sculptural objects. This course explores opaque and transparent enamels as well as alternative materials such as enamel watercolor or pencils. This course includes enameling techniques such as sifting, stenciling, sgraffito, basse taille, wet packing, champlevé, and cloissonné. This course requires generating samples and constructing final pieces in jewelry and small-scale sculpture and emphasizes individual research, compositional development, and critical analysis.
