Biography
It is an exciting opportunity to work within the Dean of Students Office as a Case Manager at (ACC) Arapahoe Community College. This position speaks to my heart as I have over a decade of experience working with urban and rural youth and adults in educational and crisis management settings. Over the past decade my experience is within, but not limited to; crisis management, student conduct, Title IX, early alerts, behavioral interventions, institutional drug, and alcohol prevention programming and reporting, CADE grants, student leadership, academic advising, career services, academic appeals, team management, supervision, and implementing resources for student success by collaborating with on-campus and off-campus resources. My skills and values align well with how the Case Manager plays a critical role in harm reduction from a solution-centered perspective for the institution. I worked in numerous roles centered around restorative justice and education while always advocating for at-risk youth, including foster children, which inspired me to become a foster and adoptive parent. I am proud partner, wife, mother and dog mom. I have a master’s degree in Higher Education, Administration and Leadership (2017) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Criminology (2011), both of which I received from Adams State University. I am dedicated to creating innovative ways to increase student support and retention across an institution. I’m a native of Denver and Littleton Colorado and I am so happy to be back in my hometown with my growing family.
