
Career Forward
Career Forward is a free program for individuals who are currently a part of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment and Training (E&T) program, known as Employment First (EF). Career Forward provides individuals with student support from our Program Manager. This helps each participant get tailored support they need to start and finish a certificate or degree so they can get the job they want in Colorado’s workforce.
Program Benefits
- 1:1 individual career and academic advising from the time of application through program completion
- Workshops and events each semester are designed to meet the needs of participants
Program Eligibility
- Must currently be receiving SNAP benefits
- Make an intake appointment with the Program Manager
- During their appointment with an ACC Program Manger, participants will need to share the reason they are going to school and how it is related to a job they want after they complete their undergraduate education (4-year program or less - this includes undergraduate, associate degree, certificate, or short-term training programs)
- Students should share a specific job they would like to do after they complete their education
- Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CAFSA
- Students are strongly encouraged to apply for ACC Scholarships
