Professional background: Karen teaches Advanced Medical Surgical Nursing theory for second-year nursing students. In addition, she also teaches Code Blue Simulation Lab and helps coordinate and direct the biannual multidisciplinary Multicasualty Incident Lab. Karen also teaches Leadership & Management in the nursing capstone course. Clinical practice background includes critical care nursing at Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver and Medical-Surgical Nursing and leadership at Morton Plant-Mease Healthcare in Safety Harbor, Florida.
