Kim holds a Master's Degree in Jazz Bass Performance from the University of Denver, and Bachelor's Degree in Double Bass Music Performance from the University of Southern Maine, where she was also principal bassist for the Southern Maine Symphony Orchestra for several years. She is an ASCAP recording artist and has appeared on KUVO, Colorado Public Radio, Maine Public Radio, and is a frequent performer at the Five Points Jazz Festival. She was also bassist for the world-premiere run of former Lumineer Neyla Pekarek's musical "Rattlesnake Kate" at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Kim teaches Music Theory, Music Appreciation, and Project Management at ACC.
