Credentials
Biography
I worked my way through college as a CNA and then, in graduate school, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant and taught general biology, cell biology, herpetology, zoology, comparative anatomy, and statistics. My emphasis for my MS was in zoology, physiology, and ecology. For my EdD, I focused on burnout in academia. I have worked at a local biotechnology company as a senior researcher and project manager designing, producing, and testing research antibodies. I have also worked as a senior research scientist and manager at a molecular genetics laboratory at UCHSC while teaching as an adjunct instructor at Red Rocks Community College. I worked as an instructor, laboratory coordinator, and pre-med advisor for over 6 years at the University of Denver, teaching anatomy, non-majors biology, and general biology courses before starting in the summer of 2008 at ACC. Here at ACC, I teach general biology, non-majors courses, and anatomy and physiology-related courses.
