Biography
My name is Thomas Schulte and I am a PhD candidate at the University of Chicago. My dissertation is on Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit and my research interests are in German Idealism, epistemology and philosophy of education. I am particularly interested in how knowledge and critical thinking factor into our institutions and social practices. Accordingly, I take great care in my pedagogical practices. I very much enjoy teaching, especially introductory courses and think it is important to make philosophy interesting and accessible to everyone.
