Come Back, Connect and Complete at ACC

At Arapahoe Community College (ACC), we know life can present challenges. If your academic journey was put on hold, we are here to help. Now, more than ever, your education matters. Finishing your degree or earning a certificate at ACC may be the best edge to set you apart in today’s job market.

ACC has a wide variety of financial aid and scholarship opportunities available to help students pay for an education, including Career Forward scholarships for those who have been displaced from jobs due to COVID-19.

ACC’s Career Forward program is designed for those who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic and who wish to improve their skills with a certificate or degree. Career Forward provides tuition assistance, student services, and affordable access to a college education. The program is supported by the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative (COSI), and ACC partners with Arapahoe/Douglas Works! for industry networking and job placement services. Even more, the ACC Foundation has recently received $300,000 in COSI funding to support students in the Career Forward program.

ACC has Fall 2021 COVID 19 emergency grants available through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) to assist students impacted by COVID-19. ACC students who struggle with expenses or hardships related to COVID-19 are encouraged to apply for these funds. These emergency funds can help students with expenses related to their cost of attendance, including course materials, technology, healthcare, childcare, food and housing.

To date, ACC has awarded over $2.5 million in financial aid grants through the CARES Act and HEERF to more than 3,000 qualifying ACC students. In fact, 60% of ACC’s most recent HEERF funding was allocated to First Generation students, including 32% to non-white students in alignment with ACC’s strategic direction of fostering equity and inclusion.

Balancing school and other obligations can be challenging, but we can help. Join us on Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 6pm for a virtual information session to learn about receiving college credits from your previous work experience, or transferring credit from another institution. Learn more about ACC resources, including on-site childcare, academic advising, career services, scholarships, academic support & free tutoring, and paid apprenticeship programs.

When you’re ready to complete your degree or earn a certificate, ACC will be here for you. We provide innovative and responsive educational and economic opportunities with flexible classes at campuses in Littleton, Parker, Castle Rock, and online.
