Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration of African Culture, history, and community that takes place annually from December 26 to January 1. The seven days celebration may include songs, dances, storytelling. Join the Black and African American Affinity Group on December 9 from 12-1pm in the 2nd floor Student Lounge for music food and fun! 

7 Days of Kwanzaa

Each day, we observe one principle from Nguzo Saba or the seven principles of Kwanzaa. 

Day 1 - Umoja (Unity)
Day 2 - Kujichagulia (Self-Determination)
Day 3 - Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility)
Day 4 - Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics)
Day 5 - Nia (Purpose)
Day 6 - Kuumba (Creativity)
Day 7 - Imani (Faith)
