ACC's Medical Laboratory Science BAS degree program is for Certified Medical Laboratory Technicians who want to: participate in more high-complexity testing, enhance their leadership abilities, and prepare to further their laboratory career.
If you have a current MLT certification and are currently employed as an MLT, you can earn your BAS primarily online, with a few practicum requirements that can be done at your current place of employment. Get your BAS degree in 2 years (if you attend full-time) while taking courses online at your convenience.
Associate of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology
Current ASCP/AMT certification in Medical Laboratory Technology
Employment at a hospital that will be willing to sign a statement of support and allow you to do any clinicals needed and sign and affiliation agreement with ACC. Clinicals will include rotations in Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry and Blood Bank departments.
