Unlock the opportunities that a technology education provides while unlocking your greatest potential.

Whether you are looking to switch into a career in tech, or hoping to become a more competitive candidate within the IT industry, a coding bootcamp at Arapahoe Community College (ACC) can help you to reach those goals. ACC has partnered with Promineo Tech, an innovative provider of tech education which aims to make coding education more affordable and accessible.

The pandemic has brought about many changes to the workplace. We have seen businesses flip to virtual operations and remote collaboration become the norm. We see it in the way we communicate, shop, schedule and operate. This trend of an increasingly digital world has been on the rise, and calls for more skilled tech talent.

Information Technology jobs are projected to be the fastest-growing occupations with an exciting 21 percent increase in Software Development. These vacant positions are ready to be filled by employable workers equipped with the skills and technologies that the roles demand.

Students who enroll in the coding bootcamps will focus on learning practical skills that are necessary in the role as a software developer. Students also dedicate time throughout the duration of the 18 weeks to hone in on career-oriented skills that will set them apart during the interview process.

"Promineo Tech has done such an incredible job teaching me and giving me the tools to learn endlessly. I feel ready, and eager to enter the world of a developer life by using my new abilities to code with java, mysql, and springboot” says Caleb G. upon graduation from the program.

The virtual classroom is set up to provide personalized learning and individualized attention to help support each student on their journey to become a software developer. Students meet online once a week. In addition to the weekly class meeting, students meet once a week for a remote, 30-minute one-on-one with a mentor. Students start each academic week on Sunday and are required to watch all videos and start working on assignments/projects before their meeting online to be prepared.

“I’m fortunate that in my Back End Coding Bootcamp from Promineo Tech, there are many ways to ask questions, and get pointers in the right direction (e.g. Office Hours, Slack, Mentors, Class Time etc.)” tells Lisa S.

“We don’t teach lessons, we teach students. Our bootcamp programs, and the whole methodology of how we teach, revolve around giving students the individualized experience they need to be successful”, said Nick Suwyn, President of Promineo Tech.

Both Front End and Back End Developers work together as a team to support the digital world that we live in. Back End Software Developers are in charge of building applications that do the behind-the-scenes work. If you enjoy working with data, defining and optimizing processes, and knowing how things work behind the scenes, the Back End program may be a great fit for you. Front End Software Developers build the pieces of applications and websites that users see and interact with. If you enjoy creating something visually appealing or seeing a visual result come from what you create, if you are more artistic, the Front End program may be a great fit for you.

“Everyone should have the opportunity to explore careers in technology if that’s their desire, and these programs will help make that possible” says Suwyn.
