Rachel Walker, Year to Career Director

What is your role at WCP?
Developing the new Year to Career program, which will help students move into careers with high pay really quickly - in under a year! We're excited to work with local employers in healthcare and IT to ensure that students are not only prepared, but ready to excel in their new roles.

Name one thing you are proud of:
I'm always so proud to help students achieve their educational or career goals. In my past work, I've assisted high school students as they've become the first members of their family to attend college, as well as adult learners as they've pivoted to careers in technology. To be on that journey with people doing really, really hard things - and witnessing them ultimately making it happen and achieve their goals - is so incredibly powerful and inspiring.

What is one fun fact to get to know you better?
While traveling in Guatemala last year, I hiked onto the saddle of Volcán de Fuego, a VERY active volcano. I'm looking forward to non-volcanic hiking in the coming years in my new home of Colorado.
