Math Support

Do you need a little extra help with your Math coursework? Let us help you Move Mountains and ease math anxiety with tutoring in Math Support. We provide drop-in tutoring for all students. You'll have access to small study groups, graphing calculators, and online resources. Use computers for MyMathLab or get assistance with graphing calculators. You'll work with ACC faculty and students who love (and excel) in math.

How to Get Help with Math Courses

Tutoring is offered by a variety of ACC Math Tutors both in-person and virtually through Zoom. For our regularly scheduled in-person tutoring, just stop by Room 2570 in the library during the scheduled tutoring. These drop-in sessions will likely have multiple students and are not intended to be one-on-one. If you would prefer one-on-one tutoring, please review our remote tutoring times.

For remote tutoring, you must sign up for your tutoring sessions through Navigate360 by clicking on “Appointments” and then clicking “Schedule an Appointment.” Select your math class and then the time that works in your schedule. Make sure to sign up early and come with prepared questions to receive the most efficient help. 

What to bring to each tutoring session:

  • Class notes and any other helpful resources you have from regularly attending class.
  • A list of your questions to ask the tutor. Make sure to try each problem on your own first and bring your work so the tutor can help you understand the process. 
  • A positive attitude and an open mind that views mistakes as an opportunity for growth and understanding.
  • A willingness to try new things and be an active participant in the learning process.

Our ACC tutors are the best resource for help since they are familiar with course content, faculty, and specific knowledge about our campus. 

In addition to the support offered by ACC tutors, TutorMe allows currently registered ACC students to meet with a qualified tutor outside of regular tutoring hours. You can find the TutorMe link in your class when you log into D2L, under the Resources tab. Students are limited to 5 hours of TutorMe services per week.

Additional Resources

To return a calculator that you rented for a previous semester, please either:

  • Drop it in the Library book drop outside of the main building at the Littleton Campus any time OR
  • Return it in person to your campus.

Calculators can be checked out for the semester on the Littleton Campus at the ACC Library and on the Sturm Collaboration Campus at Castle Rock at the front desk.
