Online
Online learning is an affordable way to receive a high-quality education while maintaining your personal and professional responsibilities. At Arapahoe Community College, we offer more than 200 online courses to advance your personal education goals or to move toward earning your accredited associate degree. As long as you're connected to the internet, you can advance your education and achieve your goals.
Why Complete Your Courses Online?
Online courses provide a way for you to attend class at your convenience, rather than coming to campus at an assigned hour. ACC understands that students who choose online classes deserve as much support in their education as traditional on-campus students. We want our students to be successful, and we are here to help make that happen. When you take an online class, you will automatically be enrolled in a Student Orientation course so that you can learn how to access and navigate your course online.
Instructors are available by email to answer your questions and discuss assignments and we offer many remote tutoring options. Additionally, online students have access to 24-hour technical support and an online self-help solution center. And as most courses require participation in online discussions, you'll still get to know your classmates and foster the community and collaboration of the traditional college environment.
Take an Online Class with ACC
All ACC online classes are taught by ACC Instructors. ACC instructors and professors take the time to get to know each online student and understand how each individual learns. To ensure you get the full experience from online education, our instructors lead online courses using many of the same teaching tools used in the classroom.
When registering for an ACC Online class, choose one with the location label AON ACC ONLINE, CO Online @Home College, or CO Online @ACC.
Benefits of earning your degree or certificate online with ACC:
- All ACC online programs are fully accredited.
- Our instructors are available to help you on campus through office hours or tutoring support.
- ACC Online sections are managed by ACC Departments that can help you with specific issues with your class.
- We provide on-campus academic support for our digital students, including tutoring, math support, the writing lab, and more.
Take a Class with Colorado Online
Colorado Online offers you another learning option for complementing your coursework. By offering courses through Colorado Online, we are able to provide students with even more classes and program opportunities than are available in the ACC catalog. How does Colorado Online work? You and other students register for Colorado Online sections through myACC or Navigate. Then you are placed in individual sections taught by one of the colleges in the Colorado Community College System. Whenever possible, you will be placed in sections taught by your home college. In some cases, you will join online courses taught by an instructor from another Colorado Community College. If your section is taught by another CCCS school, you will see that college's name and logo in your D2L course.
A Colorado Online course will be listed in several ways. In Navigate you will find them under CO Online @ ACC and CO Online @ Consortium. In myACC you will see AON ACC ONLINE. A course taught by ACC instruction will be CO Online @ ACC or have in the attribute CO Online @ Home College. A course taught by an instructor from any CCCS school will be CO Online @ Consortium or have in the attribute CO Online @ Pooled-Coll Assign.
*Colorado Online is a part of the Colorado Community College System of Colleges. Colorado Online is not a college in and of itself. It is an extension of and a service to ACC students.
